Stay comfortable in any season: roof and under-bench air conditioners, 12V and 24V units that run from the leisure battery, diesel and gas blown-air heaters, and water heaters for campervans and motorhomes.

Heating or cooling first?

In the UK most builds start with heating. A diesel air heater runs on diesel and draws little from the leisure battery once running, while gas and electric heaters suit motorhomes with a gas supply and hook-up.

Air conditioning matters most for summer touring and hot climates. Mains units need hook-up or a large inverter and battery; 12V and 24V units run from the leisure battery but still need a substantial battery bank and charging. Check your build in the Roam Wired calculator before you choose.
