Check your voltage first
The RTX 2000 runs on 24V DC. Most campervans and motorhomes use a 12V leisure system, so this unit suits builds designed around 24V batteries, or trucks and expedition vehicles already on 24V. For a 12V van, the CoolAir RTX 1000 is the equivalent.
Running it from batteries
Between 5A and 30A at 24V the unit uses roughly 120W to 720W, and around 230W in Eco mode. Across a hot evening that adds up quickly, so size the battery bank, charging and cabling together in the Roam Wired calculator, or ask us to check your plan.
Fitting
The 32kg roof unit installs into an existing roof hatch with a maximum tilt of 20°. It arrives with its remote control and documentation.
