Drive-away, tailgate, porch and wind-out awnings for campervans and motorhomes from Westfield, Quest and Fiamma, listed with fitting heights, weights and waterproof ratings.

Which type of awning?

  • Drive-away awnings connect to the van with a tunnel and stay standing when you drive off. See drive-away awnings.
  • Tailgate awnings, such as the Quest Kestral, fit over the rear door so the tailgate opens into the tunnel.
  • Porch awnings, such as the Westfield Vega, slide into a motorhome's awning rail.
  • Wind-out awnings, such as the Fiamma F35 Pro, live on the side of the van for instant shade.
  • Air canopies, such as the Quest Harrier, give shade and shelter without walls. See canopies and windbreaks.

Get the height right

Every awning that attaches to the vehicle is made for a range of fitting heights, measured from the ground to where the awning connects. Campervans are often 180–210cm, high-top vans 240–270cm and motorhomes higher still. Measure yours before ordering; where a model comes with a choice of tunnels we list the height of each.

Fabric and waterproofing

Fabric Hydrostatic head Used on
Westfield HydroTech CottonTouch 10,000mm Neptune 2.0, Orion 2.0, Vega 2.0
Quest QTec150 Pro 6,000mm Eagle Air, Kestral Air
Westfield HydroTech Ripstop 4,000mm Triton, Zodiac
Quest Tec150 4,000mm Harrier canopy

A higher hydrostatic head means more resistance to driving rain; heavier fabrics also tend to last longer in all seasons, while lighter ripstop fabrics save weight and pack smaller. Ask us if you're torn between two models.
