How buying this works
Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.
We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money
Delivery and returns
Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.
Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.
Warranty and support
The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview
12V 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter with UPS Backup
1,000W continuous, 2,000W surge, with a built-in transfer switch. The smallest of Renogy's UPS-capable inverters — enough for a laptop, a projector, a coffee grinder and the small mains things a van actually uses, without the standing losses of a 3,000W unit.
- 1,000W continuous, 2,000W surge
- Pure sine wave, 50Hz ±0.3
- Transfers to mains in under 50ms
- 90% maximum efficiency
- Low-voltage shutdown at 10V, high-voltage at 16.3V
- 2.6kg, 342 × 173 × 76mm
Size it to the peak, not the average
1,000W covers most of what people actually plug in. What it does not cover is a kettle or an induction hob — those are 1,500–2,200W and will trip it. Work out the single largest thing you intend to run and buy above that, rather than adding up everything you own.
The idle draw is the hidden cost
Static current is specified at 1A, so roughly 12W just being switched on. Left on around the clock that is close to 300Wh a day — a quarter of a 100Ah bank doing nothing. Wire it through a switch you will actually use, or pick an inverter with a standby mode.
Before you order
Working temperature is 0°C to 40°C, which is narrower than most of the range — it wants to live inside the heated space, not in an underfloor locker. At 1,000W the DC side pulls around 90A, so the battery cable and its fuse need sizing accordingly.
