Overview
Dometic RML 10.4P 3-Way Absorption Fridge
A 139-litre slim-tower fridge freezer that runs on gas, 12V or 230V and chooses the energy source itself. Dometic's 10-series absorption fridge for motorhomes and caravans that want to stay independent of batteries, with a door that opens from either side.
- 139L capacity in a tall, slim tower
- 3-way: gas, 12V or 230V, with automatic energy selection
- Double-hinged door: open it from the left or the right, no re-hanging
- Removable freezer and humidity-controlled vegetable drawers
- Full-length aluminium handles and LED interior light
How the three energy sources work
On hook-up it runs on 230V at 170W. Away from hook-up it runs on gas, using about 380g a day, which is roughly two weeks from a 6kg cylinder if nothing else draws on it. On 12V it draws 14.2A, so 12V running suits driving time, when the alternator is supplying the power. That independence from the leisure battery is the reason to choose absorption over a compressor fridge.
Fitting
Absorption fridges on gas need a flue and ventilation grilles, and the gas connection must be made by a qualified gas engineer. If you are replacing an existing fridge, check Dometic's installation dimensions against your housing before ordering; ask us and we'll send them. For a build without gas, a 12V compressor fridge such as the NRX 115C removes the flue and vents altogether.
