Overview

Bluetti Apex 300 + Charger 2

2,764.8Wh of storage and 1,200W of alternator charging. The configuration that keeps a conversion running year round in the UK, where solar alone cannot. Drive for 45 minutes and you have replaced a full day of consumption.

  • 2,764.8Wh capacity, scalable to 58kWh
  • 3,840W rated output, 12kW bypass
  • 1,200W combined alternator and solar charging, simultaneously, driving or parked
  • 12V and 24V vehicle compatibility, Transit, Sprinter, Ducato, Crafter
  • 20ms UPS switchover
  • Full app control of both units over Bluetooth and WiFi

Why alternator charging changes the maths

Charging source Power Driving time to replace one day of use
Cigarette lighter socket 120W 7 hours
Charger 1 560W 1.5 hours
Charger 2 1,200W 45 minutes

Based on a full time daily draw of 850Wh. A two hour motorway leg returns roughly 2,400Wh, which is close to a complete recharge of the Apex 300.

Installation

The Charger 2 connects to the starter battery with heavy gauge cable, fused at both ends and sized for the run length. Most auto electricians fit one in under two hours. We can size the cable and fusing for your specific vehicle before you order, just ask.

Saves 149 pounds against buying the two separately.

What it runs

Compressor fridge, 45 to 50L (15W average) 7.3 days
Diesel heater, low setting (38W) 2.9 days
Starlink Mini (50W) 2.2 days

Worked out from rated capacity at the average draw shown, allowing 85% inverter efficiency for mains loads and 95% for 12V and USB loads. A kettle boil assumes 1 litre from cold. Real figures vary with temperature, duty cycle and cable losses, so run your own build through the calculator.
