How buying this works

Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.

We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money

Delivery and returns

Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.

Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.

Warranty and support

The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview

Solar Panel Flat Roof Tilt Mount

An adjustable tilt frame for mounting a panel on a flat surface. Lets you angle a panel towards the sun instead of lying it flat — which in a British winter is the single cheapest way to increase what a fixed array actually delivers.

  • Adjustable tilt angle
  • For flat surfaces, on-grid or off-grid
  • Angle adjustability reduces as panel size increases
  • Requires socket wrench, 14mm spanner and 4mm hex key (not supplied)

Why tilt matters more here than almost anywhere

At UK latitudes the December sun barely gets above twenty degrees. A panel lying flat on a van roof is presenting almost the wrong face to it, and midwinter output collapses accordingly. Tilting the panel towards the southern sky can lift winter yield substantially — which is precisely the season when a conversion needs every watt it can get.

The catch on a moving vehicle

A tilted panel is only safe when stationary. It must be laid flat before driving: wind load on an angled panel at motorway speed will destroy the mount, the panel and possibly the roof. That makes tilt frames excellent for vans that park up for days and awkward for vans that move daily.

Before you order

Renogy are explicit that this should be installed and serviced by someone competent, and that fixings must suit the surface. Larger panels have less adjustment range, so check against your panel size. Wear gloves and eye protection, and get a second person for the lift.
