How buying this works

Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.

We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money

Delivery and returns

Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.

Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.

Warranty and support

The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview

4 to 1 Solar Y Branch Connectors MFFFF + FMMMM Pair

Extended Y branch connectors for four panels in parallel. Designed around 400W kits, with enough lead length to reach panels mounted in either portrait or landscape without a tangle of cable across the roof.

  • Four panels into one pair of leads
  • Supplied as a pair: MFFFF and FMMMM
  • Suits 400W kits (four 100W panels)
  • Extended leads for portrait or landscape mounting
  • Hard plastic construction

Four in parallel means real current

Four 100W panels in parallel is roughly 20–22A down a single pair of cables. That wants 6mm² as a minimum, a controller rated for it, and a fuse on each string — with four panels, back-feed into a faulted module is a genuine risk rather than a theoretical one.

Or consider two pairs in series

Two series pairs wired in parallel gives you the same 400W at double the voltage and half the current. On a long run to the controller that is cheaper in cable and more efficient. The trade-off, as always, is shading: series strings suffer more when part of the array is shadowed.

Before you order

The extended leads are the point of this version — they let panels be spaced across a roof without an extra set of extension cables. Check they reach your intended layout before committing to a panel arrangement.
