How buying this works

Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.

We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money

Delivery and returns

Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.

Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.

Warranty and support

The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview

Male/Female Solar Panel Cable Connectors (5 Pair)

Five pairs of solar connectors, waterproof and built for permanent installation. The fittings that join panels to each other and to the extension cable — heavier and sturdier than the generic equivalents, which matters on something that lives on a roof for a decade.

  • Five pairs, one FFM and one MMF per pair
  • Waterproof and dust-resistant
  • Hard plastic housings
  • For permanent photovoltaic installations
  • Typically used for parallel connections

You need the right tools

These are crimped, not screwed. Assembly means stripping the cable, crimping the terminal with a proper solar crimping tool, sliding on the base and strain relief, and tightening. A pair of pliers instead of a crimper produces a joint that works on the bench and fails on the roof after a winter of vibration and thermal cycling.

Where the waterproofing actually comes from

A solar connector is only sealed when it is fully mated and the strain relief is properly compressed onto the correct cable diameter. Using a connector designed for 6mm² on 4mm² cable leaves a gap that wicks water straight into the joint. Match the connector to the cable, and push until it clicks.

Before you order

Five pairs is enough for a typical array with spares. If you are only joining two panels in parallel and extending to the controller, you need fewer than you think — most panels arrive with connectors already fitted.
