How buying this works

Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.

We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money

Delivery and returns

Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.

Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.

Warranty and support

The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview

Renogy LP16 Plug (7-Pin) 23Ft Communication Cable

A 7m CAN communication cable with 7-pin LP16 plugs at both ends. The long version, for when the battery bank and the charger ended up at opposite ends of the vehicle.

  • 7-pin LP16 connectors at both ends
  • 7m (23ft)
  • Connects to any CAN communication port on a REGO product
  • Enables RV-C communication between REGO devices

Long runs are normal in a motorhome

In a panel van conversion most electrical components end up within a metre of each other. In a coachbuilt motorhome or a horsebox they do not — the battery might be under a bench at the rear and the inverter charger in a front locker. Seven metres covers that comfortably, and a communication cable carries almost no current so length costs you nothing electrically.

Route it away from the heavy cable

CAN is robust but it is still a signal. Running it alongside a 3,000W inverter's DC feed invites interference. Where you can, keep at least a hand's width between the communication cable and the high-current runs, and cross them at right angles rather than running them parallel for metres.

Before you order

Remember the bus needs terminating at each end of the chain. Plan the device order first, then the cable lengths.
