How buying this works
Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.
We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money
Delivery and returns
Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.
Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.
Warranty and support
The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview
400W 12V/24V Premium Kit
Two 200W ShadowFlux anti-shading panels and a 40A Rover MPPT controller. A matched 400W array with the controller sized to it — and panels designed specifically for the thing that ruins van solar, which is partial shade.
- 2 × 200W ShadowFlux panels, 20.7% efficiency
- 40A Rover MPPT controller, 12V/24V auto-detect
- Panel Vmp 31.3V, Voc 36.5V, Imp 6.38A, Isc 6.86A
- Controller max PV input 520W at 12V, 1,040W at 24V, 95V ceiling
- Panels 1262 × 764 × 30mm, 10.81kg each
- Controller terminals to 8AWG (10mm²)
What anti-shading actually means
On a conventional panel, shading one cell drags down the whole string it sits in — which is why a roof bar's shadow or a leaf can cost far more output than its area suggests. ShadowFlux panels are built to isolate the affected area so the rest keeps producing. On a van roof crowded with a vent, a fan and an aerial, that is the difference between a specification and a result.
The parts are correctly matched
400W of panel into a 40A controller rated for 520W at 12V means nothing is clipped, with headroom for a cold bright day when panels briefly exceed their rating. Panel Voc of 36.5V means two in series reaches 73V — inside the controller's 95V ceiling, with margin for winter voltage rise.
Before you order
Two panels at 10.81kg each is 21.6kg on the roof before brackets. The kit does not include mounting hardware, roof gland or cable — budget for those separately. The controller is IP32, so it belongs in a dry interior cupboard.
