How buying this works

Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.

We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money

Delivery and returns

Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.

Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.

Warranty and support

The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview

12V 175W 16BB N-Type High Efficiency Solar Panel

175W at 20.6% efficiency in a 1110 × 764mm frame. A high-output 12V panel with 16 busbars — the practical choice when you want as many watts as possible from a roof that will only take one or two panels.

  • 175W at STC, 20.6% module efficiency
  • 16BB N-type cells
  • Vmp 20.88V, Voc 24.48V, Imp 8.38A, Isc 8.88A
  • −40°C to 85°C operating range
  • 9.6kg, 1110 × 764 × 30mm
  • 10-year material warranty, 25-year 80% output warranty

What 16 busbars buys

More busbars means shorter paths for current across each cell, which cuts resistive loss and — more usefully on a van — makes the panel less sensitive to partial shading and micro-cracks. A roof that gets dappled shade from trees or a roof bar will hold up better with a 16BB panel than a conventional 5BB one.

A true 12V panel

Vmp of 20.88V puts this comfortably in 12V nominal territory, so it works with a PWM controller as well as MPPT — unlike the higher-voltage bifacial panels. With 8.38A of operating current, two in parallel is 17A, which is well within a 20A controller.

Before you order

1110 × 764mm is a big rectangle; measure the clear roof area between vents, bars and aerials before committing. At 9.6kg each, two panels plus mounting hardware is over 20kg on the roof — check payload and think about where that weight sits.
