How buying this works
Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.
We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money
Delivery and returns
Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.
Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.
Warranty and support
The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview
12V 60A DC to DC On-Board Battery Charger
60A and 750W — the largest alternator charger Renogy make for a 12V system. Alternator input only, no solar stage, so this is the one for a build where solar is already handled by a separate controller and you want maximum current from the engine.
- 60A rated charge current, 750W output
- 8–16V input range
- Boost 14.1–14.7V, float 13.2–13.8V
- Operating range −20°C to +50°C
- 2.4kg, 311 × 175 × 68mm
- Temperature sensor available separately
Who actually needs 60A
A 300Ah or larger bank, in a van that drives regularly and needs to be full when it stops. Below about 200Ah this is over-specified — the battery's own charge acceptance becomes the limit and you have paid for current you cannot use. Check your battery's maximum charge current before ordering: several packs in the Core Mini range cap at 100A or 150A total across all sources.
The load on the vehicle
60A out means well over 60A drawn from the alternator. On a mid-size van with cab loads running, that is a substantial continuous demand — worth confirming the alternator rating, and worth sizing the cable from the starter battery generously. Volt drop on the input side directly reduces what the charger can deliver.
Before you order
No MPPT stage here, so budget for a separate solar controller if you have panels. Idle consumption is specified at under 0.4A, which is higher than the MPPT units — make sure the ignition trigger is wired properly so it is not sitting awake when the van is parked for a week.
