How buying this works

Roam Wired does not stock this item. The button above hands you over to the seller's own shop, where you place the order, pay and arrange delivery directly with them. Nothing is added to a Roam Wired basket, and we never see your payment details.

We list it because it is the part our calculator would specify for a build like yours, not because we make the most on it. How we make money

Delivery and returns

Delivery cost, delivery time and the returns window are set by the seller, not by us, and Roam Wired's own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply here. Check their delivery and returns terms on their product page before you order.

Your consumer rights, including the 14-day right to cancel a distance sale, are against the seller who took your order.

Warranty and support

The manufacturer's warranty is handled by the seller you buy from. If something fails, raise it with them and quote their order number — we cannot open a claim on your behalf.

Overview

100W 12V N-Type Portable Solar Panel Suitcase Kit with 20A PWM Controller

100W of rigid N-type panel that folds into a case, with a 20A waterproof controller included. The suitcase exists so you can park the van in the shade and put the panel in the sun — which on a hot day is worth more than another 100W bolted to the roof.

  • 100W at STC, N-type cells
  • 20A Voyager PWM controller included, IP67
  • Vmp 18.65V, Voc 21.47V, Imp 5.60A, Isc 6.03A
  • Folds to 690 × 396 × 80mm, open 690 × 795 × 40mm
  • 7.9kg
  • 25-year material and workmanship warranty

Shade the van, not the panel

In summer the best pitch is under a tree and the best place for a panel is not. A portable array breaks that compromise: the van stays cool, the panel goes out into the sun on a 5m lead, and you get both. It also lets you angle the panel at the low winter sun, which a flat roof array simply cannot do.

Rigid means heavy, and long-lived

At 7.9kg this is a proper glass-and-frame panel that folds, not a fabric one — which is why it carries a 25-year warranty against the two years on the folding textile panels. If it lives in a garage locker and comes out on site, the weight is a fair trade for the lifespan.

Before you order

The included controller is PWM, so it will harvest less than an MPPT unit — but it is waterproof to IP67, which is the right priority for something living outdoors on grass. Vmp of 18.65V is standard 12V nominal, so the kit works with any 12V battery.
