Overview
Bluetti Charger 2
1,200W of combined alternator and solar charging, driving or parked. The component that makes a UK conversion work year round. Forty five minutes of driving replaces a full day of consumption.
- 1,200W combined input, alternator and solar simultaneously
- 12V and 24V vehicle systems, Transit, Sprinter, Ducato, Crafter and truck conversions
- Charges while driving or parked, doubles as a solar controller when stationary
- Wide compatibility, works with Bluetti units and most other brands
- Remote app control and live input monitoring
Charging speed compared
| Source | Power | Driving time to replace one full time day |
|---|---|---|
| Cigarette lighter socket | 120W | 7 hours |
| D050S charging enhancer | 500W | 1 hour 45 minutes |
| Charger 1 | 560W | 1 hour 30 minutes |
| Charger 2 | 1,200W | 45 minutes |
Based on a full time daily draw of 850Wh. A two hour motorway leg returns roughly 2,400Wh.
Alternator and solar together
Most DC chargers make you choose. The Charger 2 accepts both sources at once up to a combined 1,200W, so a roof panel keeps contributing while the engine runs rather than sitting idle. Parked up, it works as a straightforward high capacity solar controller.
Choosing between Charger 1 and Charger 2
A 1,200W draw needs alternator headroom. A standard Transit or Sprinter alternator runs 150A to 180A at 14V, which is 2,100W to 2,500W total, and the vehicle takes a share of that. On a smaller alternator, or a van doing mostly short urban trips, the 560W Charger 1 is the better fit. Tell us your vehicle and we will confirm which one suits it.
Installation
Connects to the starter battery with heavy gauge cable, fused at both ends and sized for the run length. Most auto electricians fit one in under two hours. We can specify the cable gauge and fuse rating for your vehicle before you order.
