How we make money

Roam Wired makes money in two different ways, and we think you should be able to tell which one you are looking at on any given page.

Things we sell

We are a Bluetti dropship partner. When a page has an Add to basket button, that is a Roam Wired order: we take the payment, our delivery terms apply, and our returns and warranty process is the one you use if something goes wrong.

Things we recommend but do not sell

We also list Renogy components — solar panels, charge controllers, DC-DC chargers, inverters, cable and protection — because they are the parts a van build is actually wired with, and the ones our electrical calculator specifies. We do not stock them.

Those pages carry a Buy at Renogy UK button instead of an add-to-basket, and are badged “Renogy” wherever they appear. The button is an affiliate link. It hands you to Renogy's own shop, where they take the order, the payment and the delivery, and where their delivery, returns and warranty terms apply rather than ours. Our own £10 / free-over-£250 UK delivery does not apply to those orders, and we cannot open a warranty claim on your behalf.

If you buy after following one of those links, Renogy pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as going to Renogy directly.

How that affects what we recommend

It shouldn't, and we try hard to keep it that way. Commission rates are not a factor in what the calculator specifies or what we put on a page. Where we sell a Bluetti product that genuinely does the same job, we will say so, and where a part we earn nothing on is the right answer, we still name it.

About the prices on affiliate pages

Prices shown on Renogy pages are the lowest price we recorded on Renogy's own site on the date printed next to the price. Renogy run promotions and price by variant, so the figure you see at their checkout may be different. Always confirm the current price on their page before you buy — theirs is the one that counts.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think we have got a recommendation wrong, tell us. We would rather fix it.
