Matched systems that arrive ready to fit. Each one pairs a power station with the solar or alternator charging it actually needs, priced below the sum of its parts, with runtimes listed against real van loads.
How to choose
Three questions decide it, and capacity is only one of them.
- How much do you draw a day? A weekend build with a fridge, lights and device charging runs 400 to 600Wh. A full time build with a diesel heater and a laptop runs about 850Wh. A gas free build cooking on induction runs well past 2kWh.
- How often do you drive? This matters more than people expect. If you move the van weekly, alternator charging refills the system faster and more cheaply than a second battery, and adds a fraction of the weight.
- When are you out? From April to September solar covers most builds. From November to February a UK roof produces very little, so winter capability comes from the alternator, not the panel.
The systems
The ladder runs from a £378 compact kit for lighting and devices up to an 8,294.4Wh off grid system for large vehicles and mobile businesses. Every listing states the runtime by appliance, the recharge time by source, and the saving against buying the components separately.
Not sure which fits your build? Tell us the vehicle, the appliances and how often you drive, and we will size it for you.
